Hi Alana,

My surgeon has his patients do a 2 week pre-op liquid diet. Some of the

reasons being that protein before surgery will assist your body during recovery

and

he wants your liver to shrink since that is the area where he will be

working. Some of us have fatty/enlarged livers from years of being obese. From

what

I've read most surgeons have their patients only do this for 1 or 2 days before

surgery.

Sincerely,

Dawn in Orlando

Pre-op

Surgery is 9/23/04

Hey.

My surgeon had me go on a Low Carb diet for a few weeks before the

surgery, and day before is nothing but clear liquids.. Had my pre-op

testings done today.. (basically more blood work and EKG).. So

systems are all ago. I'm excited, time seems to be creeping by now

with only about 11 more days to go. You are just two days back of

me, I'm the 21st.. you're the 23rd.. Well.. Gotta make some dinner

for everyone.
