Guest guest
Do you (still) have untreated sleep apnea? Are you pregnant? How exactly does exercise make you sick to your stomach... that's a new one on me... are we talking about walk-around-the-block exercise, or running on the treadmill for 10 miles? I have felt like absolute crap lately. If I close my eyes to blink too long, I can fall asleep. I come home from work, fall asleep, get up, and go to bed. I don't hear the alarm and have been late for work a few times this week because of it (luckily they understand). On top of that, I feel crappy all over.... kind of like being hit by a train. I'll admit I haven't been real good about my vites and my water lately. I'm also feeling pretty guilty because I don't even have the energy to exercise. When I do I just feel sick to my stomach. I have been having about 2-4 protein shakes to try and keep things up. I've still not lost any weight (it's been months now, but you've all heard that before). I feel spacey, hot, cold, achy, restless, tired... all at the same time. I just started taking Effexor just over a week ago. I wish I could say all of this started when I started the Effexor, but it's been going on for awhile now. All my last blood work came back fine. I'm not due again until October. Anyone got a " quick " boost for me? Guest guest
Tigger, besides the obvious (taking your vits and protein), have you been tested for Lyme disease? The symptoms are similar (flu-like). Just a thought... in NJ ****************************** > .... and probably a good swift kick in the butt! I have felt like > absolute crap lately. Guest guest
Whine all you want. After listening to all of us for so many years, you're more than entitled. Guest guest
Tigger if your name wasn't on this post I would have thought these words came out of my mouth. My problem was severe anemia and once I got my iron going in the right direction, I started exercising, wasn't late to work anymore and have lost 40 lbs since June 1st. I ws taking carbonyl iron but my body wasn't absorbing it. I had to switch to a different type and that corrected the problem. If you are too tired to do anything it wrecks all your efforts and you blame yourself even more for not being the " perfect " post op patient. This doesn't sound like your fault in any way shape or form. I would check my ferritin, hemoglobin and hermatocrit + the sleep study advice is probably a good thing to check on as well. I would bet on the iron problem but it might be something else. Whatever the case, get this fixed and everything else will start improving rapidly! Keep us posted and good luck. Guest guest
I guess I don't feel so bad then... went to bed at 10 last night and got up at 10 this morning. I've always loved my bed, but this is rediculous. Oh, and I hope you'll share the cheese. Tigger > It happens. Went to bed about 12:30 last night. Dragged my sorry bottom out > of bed at 3pm today. Guest guest
Actually, no I haven't. It's funny you mentioned that, because I thought of that last night myself. I even have the joint aches when I wake up, but I thought that was just age. :-) Tigger > > .... and probably a good swift kick in the butt! I have felt like > > absolute crap lately. I have had all my labs done too, added the protein shakes and iron to my diet...to no avail. I haven't felt like exercising either...sleep is all I want. My labs came back normal- low normal- but normal too. I don't exactly know what to do about it myself. I thought it might be depression...it could be with all the things going on in my life right now (i.e., husband layed-off four months ago). I HATE feeling this bad too!!!!!!!!!!!!! kathy ******************************************* The woods are lovely, dark, and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep. Guest guest
Thank you Kat, I hope I'm feeling better soon too. I feel more like Eeyoore right now than I do Tigger. Actually, it might just be depression. I have been " suffering " (boy what an accurate word) with depression for awhile. My Dr. just switched meds on me about 10 days ago.... I'm not thinking they are working to well. I see him on Thursday and hopefully we will find a solution to this. I just want to sleep and stay in bed. I'm so glad it's a three day weekend (in my case a two day weekend, as I work Saturday mornings). Tigger (non-bouncy, non-talkative, non-entertaining) > Tigger - I would ask if you were depressed but I think that is > Eeyoores (?) job. > > Hope you are feeling better soon!
