Guest guest
Organic chicken broth (org. chicken and water), org. onions , org. celelry , org. carrots , sea salt, natural chicken flavor and organic spices. The last two ingredients make it illegal, since there could be anything hiding under the title 'natural flavors' or 'spices.' Sorry! As far as I know, there aren't any legal commercially prepared broths. Guest guest
There is a brand mentioned in certain SCD cookbooks (I don't remember which one) but I don't think any brand has ever been declared legal. Maybe a mod can chime in. I have spent money on trying it when I was able to find it. Awful, not cheap and it ruined my enitre pot of chicken soup. There was another brand that didn't have any 'iffy' looking ingredients so I used it from 2005 until 2008ish. Then I opened a box--same label and it was ok until I started cooking the soup. The formulary had changed or something, it smelled offish and mom said the same when she used some. Very diappointing--a pot of beef stew this time ruined. So now I make it myself, store in mason jars and use that. Just don't salt it because when you resalt your soup, it'll be way too salty. You can always make chicken salad with the chicken/veggies from the stock since you cook it so long.Debbie 41cd Organic chicken broth (org. chicken and water), org. onions , org. celelry , org. carrots , sea salt, natural chicken flavor and organic spices. The chicken stock just read (didnt have glases at the store, also has evaporated cane juice so will return it. Is the chicken broth legal? Need to figure how to eat more destress, have some fun. Anything which contains evaporated cane juice is not legal, as you noted. Some people are willing to trust the Imagine brand of broth. I do not trust " natural chicken flavor " and would not use it. I'll be happy to give you my recipe for Chicken stock. You can then use the chicken meat to make a thick soup for her to eat if she doesn't need clear liquids. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
