Got my hospital bill the other day

Whoa!!! I knew it would be high, but my goodness....for my 3 1/2 hour

surgery and 2 nights in the hospital, a whopping $18,346. My balance

after insurance-$600. VERY HAPPY camper here! My insurance already

paid on the 14th, just 2 weeks after my surgery...now that's speedy!

Now that doesn't include my surgeon's fee of about $4500 for my upper

jaw, but lucky for me, it will be no charge to me because my out of

pocket max for the year is $600.

Interesting though, out of the $18346, Blue Cross only paid like $9600.

The rest is for a " participating provider discount "
