Guest guest
Thanks for this! I am in appeal process. Like you - I am getting letters from Pediatrician and Physical Therapist - but having trouble finding information to differentiate the need from cosmetic purposes. Can you point me in the right directoin or share any documents you sent in with your appeal to discuss why your Doc Band was important for your child's condition? Thanks in advance for your reply! > > This is for those who might need help insurance wise. I have BCBS and our insurance turned us down stating Cranial Technologies was out of network. Well I had no idea what I was in for or was even sure how to go about it. I made some research and found myself w/ tons of information and tons of paperwork, I was going to appeal. I wrote a letter, asked my sons therapist and pediatrician to write one all well, I sent information in regards to the Doc Band why it was important for his condition. Literally 2 months later thats how long it took we heard back with good news we had been approved for reimbursement. > Mothers out there who think they cant appeal or might want to give up. Keep trying send your letters and information of why you think its important for insurance carriers should work or have Cranial Technologies in there network (many of them cover this band in different states should be the same for you), let them know the risk or side effects of not being treated and why the Doc Band is essential for them to wear. If any one has any question I' will be glad to answer. Good Day.... >
