good question! I'm 23 days post op and still look very swollen in the

cheeks and upper lip....so I still look like a chipmonk. My surgeon

says some of the swelling could take up to 6 months to

resolve...especially where they put in the plates and screws (I had

rigid fixation). I hope you do much better...there are others here who

had fewer swelling issues than I do though...

I'm 18 days post op and look the same as you describe yourself

looking. I had rigid fixation (with plates and screws too)...and that

seems to be the areas where I have most of the swelling left.

Oh and yep, I still look like a chipmunk too ;-)

(But think I'm getting better everyday now though)
