Guest guest
I am struggling with how to dress my little guy at night...the clinician told me very specifically not to dress him in more than one layer at night and thus overheat him. So I have been dressing him in a onsie and a cotton swaddleme blanket. But he has been waking alot since getting the band and at times his legs are cold to the touch. So I think he may be too cold at night but how can you tell if they are too hot? Everytime I take his band off the back of his head is a little sweaty. Any help? Guest guest
In part it depends on how you used to dress him. You should be dressing him lighter than before. Are his hands cold or the rest of his body? I think you could add some bottoms, but just check he's not overheating. There is no hard and fast rule about how to dress since people's homes are different temperatures. If his head is getting really sweaty he is probably too warm, but right now it sounds as if he is slightly too cold. -christine sydney, 3.5 yrs, starband grad > > I am struggling with how to dress my little guy at night...the clinician told me very specifically not to dress him in more than one layer at night and thus overheat him. Guest guest
I dress my daughter in a light weight sleeper with feet and no blanket. Her head is a little sweaty in the morning. If your son has red cheeks, cries or is sweaty around the band of his diaper, he is probably too warm. His head being a little sweaty is normal.
