Guest guest
I forget...how many weeks post op are you? I know my surgeon said that after two weeks I was OK to do light aerobic excerise (because I was past the point of getting nose bleeds...whatever that means). I think I would ask your surgeon if the sauna is OK. How do you feel in the shower? I would be afraid of getting light headed... And sinus drainage definately sucks. I'm still getting a little yellowish stuff from my left nostril...but not my right. Who knows? But it is a lot less than earlier in the week ) -becky
Guest guest
Hi Becky, I'll be two weeks post-op tomorrow. My surgeon said no exercise for 4 weeks - period. I just chalked it up to the extensiveness of what I had done I guess, but I sure do miss my workouts. In the shower I'm still using a shower chair, because I do feel lightheaded a bit, and I think that is due to the feeling of being so 'plugged' up in the sinuses and my ears. Until that resolves, I don't trust myself to stand in the shower. Yes, the drainage is awful - I'm spewing it out more and more now - so I do not know how long to expect that to last, but it's so gross, yukk. Judy > I forget...how many weeks post op are you? Guest guest
Judy - Well if you still feel light headed in the shower I would think the sauna is a little too early ) The steam from the shower is usually really helpful to break up my sinus troubles though. I hope you find some relief soon! Oh, one more thought...are you using air conditining? Sometimes that can make the air pretty dry (and possibly dusty). I've heard a lot of people have used humidifiers...actually I was required to have one when I was little. I notice in the morning now I feel much worse in the sinus area because everything is so dry. Just a thought... -becky
Guest guest
i used a humidifier for the first 2 weeks post-op and it helped tremendously with the breathing. Sara
