Guest guest
My hubby can't cook either, so I have a LOT of cooking/freezing to do beforehand so we have something edible in the house he can just heat up and serve ) Of course, he said we wouldn't do a tree this year since I wouldn't be able to enjoy it. Hrummppf! We certainly ARE having a tree! We reached a compromise - small table-top live tree that we'll plant out back later. =============================== I'm waiting for my approval so it is all tentative, but they approved it once, so I'm sure they'll approve it again. Of course this has been the week from hell, so who knows what lies in store. Yes I know, its only Monday. I'm not really thumbing my nose up at Santa, lets just say that lately the only way I can get any rest is if I go under the knife. : ) Maybe I should have him do one breast now and save the other for New Years? Also, if I play my cards right, Tim can call his parents on x-mas eve and tell them I'm not feeling well and that maybe they should go to his brothers house for the day. Then we can spend our x-mas together and he can take the kids to my brother in-laws later in the day. I'll stay home and hang out with my brother and Tim's friend Mike. There is a reason for my madness, part heredity, mostly in-laws. LOL Tim and his friend Mike are very good cooks, so not worried about what they'll come up with to make. Also, we put our tree up Thanksgiving weekend. Since we have to go to his parents for Thanksgiving (don't get me started), I'm doing " our " Thanksgiving the Saturday after. We'll put the tree up on Friday and so far we have about 12 people coming over on Saturday for dinner. Nice way to kick off the holidays, erasing the memory of the Thanksgiving from two days before and being with people you really do love and enjoy. Tomorrow I'm housebound because the car has to be inspected, so I'm going to watch my x-mas DVD's and wrap presents all day. Just love having all this stuff done before Thanksgiving, then I can really enjoy the holidays. : ) Regina

How bout if we tell Tim to grow a spine and tell his parents that you're not having Christmas this year? We've yelled at him before, ya know! (but only because he needed it!) >Since we have to go to his parents for Thanksgiving (don't get > me started), I'm doing " our " Thanksgiving the Saturday after. Every time I read about other peoples' inlaws, I am forever grateful that my MIL could care less if we are alive or dead. And my dad is just a sweetie and doesn't ask anything of us, but gives with all his heart. ~~ Lyn
