I have a question for all of you veterans...I had my surgery 4/26/02. I had

Lap RNY and started at 244.5 and now weigh approx. 139. My original goal

(which back then was a number I picked out of a hat!!) was 125. If you do the

math..I have lost over 88% of my excess weight. I am 5'2 " and am now wearing a

size small or a size 8. That is the backround of info needed to answer my

question....

I stopped losing approx 4-5 months ago. My eating is the same..I drink

tons..I haven't been exercising but I was during this time. If I know that my

body

has stopped I would be okay with it. I have come further than I had ever

imagined and I am greatful for all that I have accomplished, however I would

like

to lose another 10-15 pounds. I am a rather small person but I don't know

if I am being realistic about whether I can lose anymore. Could I be

experiencing a plateau for this many months??. I work very hard at this and

averytime

I get on the scale it tells me the same number. I am planning to have a

lower body lift in Dec. but I would really like to take off a little more weight

before. I know that a lot of people would love to have the success which I

have been lucky enough to experience but I just want to know what you all think.

I am really good about getting in my protein, taking supplements, watching my

carbs etc. Any ideas

Sorry this is so long but you are the experts and I really need some expert

advice.

Stacey,

When I went to my surgeon for my one year appointment (almost a year

ago!), I said the same thing to my surgeon... I'm thrilled, but I'd like

to lose 10 more pounds. At the time, I weighed about 130 pounds at 5'4 "

-- BMI of 22 and great fitness. My surgeon is a no-BS kind of guy that I

know really well, and he just laughed at me. He said that he doesn't

know ANY woman that wouldn't like to lose the proverbial 10 pounds.

I wouldn't sweat it. Keep on keeping on, get your PS, and never stop

exercising! Enjoy your life. :-)
