Guest guest
Daughter Emma (3-1/2) has been surprising me with the things she is willing to eat, but today she started refusing (and reverting back to her picky self) food. She was weak and tired-looking. I can tell we are making progress with her eczema and yeast by the die-off reactions I see. But I am worried that we won't be able to keep up with all of this for as long as I'd like. I feel like the variety in foods and recipes is really lacking, especially because eggs need to be rotated to every 3-4 days due to intolerance. The Intro diet with the yeast modifications are even more restrictive, so things like fruit are more of an every-other-day thing. She won't eat veggies yet, but I've been able to sneak them in. Ugh I am just worried that she going to lose weight, be stubborn and not eat veggies, and just be hungry (I am hungry!). I think she is just sick of the same food group. I need to find more recipes and channel some more creative energy here...any support would be very much appreciated. Thanks for reading! Guest guest
Are you also at the Pecanbread group? Lots of advice for kiddos there. My kid is the OPPOSITE of a picky eater, I wish she was more picky, she wants to eat constantly and feed those bugs! > > Daughter Emma (3-1/2) has been surprising me with the things she is willing to eat, but today she started refusing (and reverting back to her picky self) food. Guest guest
I’m not sure if I’ve seen your name in the pecanbread group, but if you haven’t joined them you might consider it. The group focuses on children on SCD, mostly children that fall in the autism spectrum, but many of the same issues apply to children with GI problems. You might also find some helpful ideas dealing with picky eaters here: http://pecanbread.com/p/how/picky.html Kim M.
