Guest guest
Joanne - I REALLY trust my wonderful Surgeon - he's been very understanding and supportive. Today I'm still as terrified as I was yesterday - the good cry didn't help at all, but the two glasses of wine DID calm me down alot LOL! Dr. told me yesterday NOT to worry about this, but that's all I've done today. My co-workers have been very supportive, and I tried to get it out of my mind so I could concentrate on my work. I feel like I am " unraveling " - my stress level right now is very high. I know that Dr. really cares about me, and he only has my best interests in mind when he told me that he wants me to let him do the LeFort, but I'm terrified of that procedure. I'm fine with the BSSO though, probably because I knew that I would be having it from the start of all this. Dr. also told me that if I need to talk to him about this, I can call him at anytime and he will even get me into his office - he's THAT concerned about me. // Thank you for your support. ~~ Diane--- In orthognathicsurgerysupport , " jpulaski129 " <jpulaski129@y...> wrote: > Diane, > I know it's tough when the doctors seem to go back and forth like > this. Guest guest
I haven't got to check out the website yet, but I will. My GYN (Dr. Novichik)could not be any better. I told my husband that I am suddenly happy about my annual visit. He doesn't find this as funny as I do. > > Reni - NICE TRY! Guest guest
Hi Diane, Hope you're having a good weekend. I got elastic bands wrapped around the teeth around my four gaps (on top of my powerchains). Not too painful right now. Some pressure. Yes the pressure is normal but it is something you get accustomed to. I can't believe it's been eight months into this process already (!) but it's gotten easier as the months have gone by painwise and pressurewise. I can really see the gaps getting smaller too. I hope they're moving faster than scheduled. That would be great. Talk to you soon! ~Joanne > -Hello, Joanne - Yes, I'm fully in my braces now, finally. Guest guest
Hello, Joanne - Hope you are enjoying your weekend too. I have a question: when do the pressure sores or canker sores or whatever they are called go away? I have only two so far: one on the top and one on the bottom, same place - between the two front teeth. My OD says they are pressure sores from the wires pressing up against the inside of my mouth, and that they will eventually become calluses. They don't look like the usual canker sores that I sometimes get. I bought some stuff at the store to put on them, which helps. Just wondering. ~~~ Diane > > -Hello, Joanne - Yes, I'm fully in my braces now, finally.
