Guest guest
Sandy, If you get ahold of some MSM Powder-- mix it 2tbsp with 1/4 or so cup of water-- chug it down-- or add it to juice or tea-- follow with a glass of water-- it gets rid of the taste-- honestly, it works better for pain control than most pain meds. Just increasing your water intake will also help. You have to get your body lubricated-- and your electrolytes in balance. Cut out the sugars-- as that too adds to our pain. If you decide to see your MD-- Duragesic Patches can work well, although they will cause some constipation. Is the pain full-body, or in a single place? Many of us spent years on pain meds-- anti-inflamatories, and more. It wasn't until i put the sugar, flour, wheat, fluid picture together that I started to get some relief. I even had to cut back on fruit-- as this skyrocketed my blood sugar- and the neuropathy that goes along with this. My heart goes out to you, I know the "I don't trust the docs" program. Do you have a rheumatologist? They are at least understanding of inflammatory and arthritic disease-- and more likely to listen to you. Another great technique is to use Guided Meditations/Relaxation. The breath work of making sure you blow all the air out of your lungs, then take a deep slow in breath-- and exhale fully, gets the carbon monoxide out of your lungs-- and gets more oxygen into your body-- and that helps to lower pain. and Noble carry quite a few guided meditation CD's-- and they can be so calming. Do take inventory of what you are putting into your body-- or forgetting to put into your body-- and see if some easy adjustments will help. If not-- get into a doctor-- or a chiropractor, or a massage therapist-- and get some help. Our fear of what is going on with us creates an anxiety that leads to more pain. Small steps forward can make a huge difference. Guest guest
Bill, thank you. All I can do is share what has worked for me, and pray it works for all of you also. This is a journey we sure wouldn't have called a travel agent to book for us-- but we're on it-- so as a friend says-- "If you don't like my driving-- get off my sidewalk!" Actually, that came out of a Reno cop running over a tourist - who was walking on the sidewalk-- she still hasn't lived that one down-- her fellow officers had that made into a bumper sticker-- which they put on the back (and front) of her patrol car!! LOL! To: Neurosarcoidosis Sent: Tue, May 25, 2010 1:20:54 PMSubject: Re: Pain Just Pain Tracie aka the feld is in the haus You always say/type the right things. Guest guest
What do you mean the fruit and veggie raw diet is working, with decrease pain, wt. loss,??? just interested. If you can get off lyrica and have no pain, that would be great, I would love to do that too, as can't seem to lose any weight.
