BUMP: Is magnesium citrate a legal prep for a flex sig?

Does anyone know if this is legal? The procedure is a week away and I'm trying

to get my ducks in a row...

I'm sorry if this was recently discussed - I wasn't paying attention because it

didn't pertain to me then...and the darn search function is a no go...

Yes,

magnesium citrate is legal, as long as the supplement you’re taking doesn’t

include other illegal ingredients. Magnesium comes in several forms, citrate

being just one of them. Magnesium glycinate is the more common form in

supplements, as it is better tolerated by most individuals. Magnesium citrate

can increase the laxative effect, which is why your doctor may prefer to use

this.

Hey! Do you still have all of your colon? I don't have all of mine and when I

get my flex sigs I do a liquid diet the day before and an enema the morning

of... that's it! (okay, who is jealous?!... trust me, I've had years of scopes

and paid my dues- golytly might be the worst thing on this planet... EVER).

Anyway, my point is that you could check with your doctor- he may be open to

this.
