Multi-vitamin question

Hi!

My new doctor has recommended a multi-vitamin by Klaire Labs (Vita-Spectrum Berry-Pomegranate). I called the company to make sure it didn't have any nasties in it ... They said the Vitamin C is from corn, but they have removed the corn antigen. According to the company the product is SCD compliant.

Should I take this?

I searched PecanBread, but the multi they list is evidently no longer available, so I'm perplexed!

Thanks.

The

Klaire Labs multivitamin does contain “natural berry pomegranate flavor”

which does make it problematic. I’m checking in with the pecanbread

site owner and some of the pecanbread moderators to discover which Klaire Labs

Vita Spectrum multivitamin that was previously considered OK, so I’ll let

you know what I find out.

I’d

probably make the choice to use another multivitamin, mainly because of the

possible problems associated with a natural flavoring, but also because I’m

particularly sensitive to supplements and the dosage levels in this

multivitamin would seriously impact my nervous and immune systems. There are so

many ingredients, which is also a factor, not just the amounts of each one. But

that’s me. However I mention it in case you or your children are

also sensitive.

I’d

say that this might be something to consider if your doctor is strongly

recommending it, but it is a “use at your own risk”. I’d

personally feel better finding one without natural flavorings. But as

supplements go, this one isn’t too bad [grin].

After

I sent the reply to your question on Klaire Labs VitaSpectrum berry

pomegranate, I discovered they do make one that is not flavored, so would be

the better choice. http://www.klaire.com/index_proddetail.asp?id=K-VTSC

Haven’t

yet heard back from the pecanbread folks, but I’ll post the information

when I get a confirmation.
