Guest guest
Hi All - My son has been in his helmet for two weeks and had his first adjustment appointment this morning. He's gone from about 96% (for brachy) down to about 93%. Nice to see some progress. We had to see a different orthotist this morning because the one we saw for the fitting was stuck in traffic (so, 2 appointments, 2 different orthotists). We have another appointment in 3 weeks and I was thinking about changing it to be at a different NOPCO office because we have a follow up with the plastic surgeon on the same day in a different city. NOPCO has an office in the same building as this doctor. Would that be a bad idea? That would mean a third orthotist in the mix and I'm not sure how important it is to be consistent. Any thoughts? Thanks!
Guest guest
we saw the same ortho for the most part. Once when he was away we saw the other ortho in the same office. The orthos seemed to prefer to work on the band from start to finish. I would tend to try and stay with the same one unless you are not happy with him/her. Maybe you can change one of the appointments so they aren't both on the same day. -christine sydney, 4 yrs starband grad > > Hi All - My son has been in his helmet for two weeks and had his first adjustment appointment this morning.
