Guest guest
I have been thinking that one day I will have an accident and eat something I shouldn't been eating. Well... That happened yesterday I made a roasted chicken and added some different spices. When I ate dinner I did think that this chicken tasted good. But I didn't want to eat it. I need to force my self to eat the chicken breast. And that is very unusual because this is my favorite brand of chicken and I love it. Several time I took a piece of the chicken skin, chewed it a couple of times and spit it out again. But I did swallow some of it.15 minutes after dinner I started to get pain. I thought it was because I was going to be a security guard under a handball game (Norway against Lithuania) with over 5000 people. So I thought it var nervousness. But it was to extreme.. I thought maybe it was the paprika spice since the box was open. I looked at it and it was clean. Then I found the other bag. I was 100% sure it was a clean spice. It wasn't.. It was a chili blend with garlic, chili, cumin and spices (not specified). I was so angry and so sad. Why today..? I took 10 tablets of charcoal. I went to the game and after 2 hour the pain was away. Today I ate lunch. And I had totally forgot that the chicken was on the top of the vegetable yesterday. And I had the same veggies today. So they had the liquid of the chicken over them. The pain came back.. So know I have learned a huge lessons.. ONLY USE my own spices.. And be 100% sure. I still don't know what I did react to but there is something. I am going to call the company tomorrow. Karianne19 year old with ASDSCD 10 monthsCeliac +Undiagnosed gut issues (yeast? dysbiosis?) Guest guest
Oh Karianne- I am so sorry to hear about the bad timing with your illegal spices. Look how amazing you are that you took the charcoal and made it to the game anyway! It is also so frustrating because you did not do it on purpose. Keep your chin up- you are doing a great job. Let us know what the company says! -Joanna SCD 9/2009, Crohn's 1992, 30mg Prednisone > > > I have been thinking that one day I will have an accident and eat something I shouldn't been eating. > > Well... Do you know what was added to them? It would be good if you could find out, as it may be something that shows up in some other foods sometimes. n> SCD 9/2009, Crohn's 1992, 30mg Prednisone>> >>>>>> I have been thinking that one day I will have an accident and eat >> something I shouldn't been eating.>>>> Well... Guest guest
I talked to the company today. It is a norwegian company but the spices is produced in US. So they had to call the place in US and ask. They said that it is wrong on the label. There are no other spices in it. Only chili, cumin, salt, garlic and oregano. I asked if he is sure that there is nothing else and he said yes. But I don't know if I believe him. Specially since the products is made in US and not Norway. (Nothing wrong about US, but I have heard that they sometimes add things and don't tell it..) I made a pot of chicken soup yesterday. And I have never got pain from chicken soup. So I had chicken soup for evening and breakfast along with broccoli and peas. And I did not get pain. So thats good.. But my stomach is still a bit bloated and I haven't been on the toilet since saturday morning. Properly because of all the charcoal Karianne SCD 10 months > >> > >> > >> I have been thinking that one day I will have an accident and eat > >> something I shouldn't been eating. > >> > >> Well... Guest guest
Well that's a bummer because I'm sure you were kind of hoping to hear that there was something illegal in it so you would know for sure what gave you so much stomach pain. I think the important thing is that when you stopped eating it, you felt better. So lesson learned that the spice mixture does not agree with you! I know it's hard not having a concrete answer. Take care Karianne! -Joanna > > >> > > >> > > >> I have been thinking that one day I will have an accident and eat > > >> something I shouldn't been eating. > > >> > > >> Well...
