Guest guest
I was diagnosed with severe clinical depression over 12 years agoand was on just about every anti-deppressant in the PDR. After much trial and error I was put on Wellbutrin (200 mg twice a day) and Effexor(Lexpro's mother) 375 mg a day. My world changed. Other than bizarre, vivid, non-sensical dreams I have had measurable side effects from the Wellbutrin. I also adapted very well to the Effexor with no intolerable side effects. Many MD's have switched to or perscribed the Lexpro because it has minimal sexual function problems(which I have never experienced on the Effexor). I have been virtually immobile for the last 2 years and while I have not lost any weight(no exercise) I have not GAINED any. I had a RNY in 1998 that was done improperly and resulted in minimal weight loss only 65#)which I know I would not have been able to keep off if not for my anti-depressant combo. I am an RN and practice Homeopathic medicine which at times has to be combined with Western medication to be fully effective. ....just putting in my 2 cents worth Annie
