Guest guest
I wish I could tell you that this yogurt is OK, but it's not. Bifidus is illegal. You got such great results on SCD, it's best to do it right to get those results and make your own SCD yogurt. I've made mistakes and hate to waste money or food. Do you have a soup kitchen or a friend/family member who would enjoy the yogurt you bought? Congrats on doing so well on SCD. I would start over with the " right stuff " . PJ > > Hi everyone, > > I embarked upon the SCD diet in June of 2007 having suffered since probably 1984 with Crohn's disease. I was on remicade, prednisone, had a colon resection. Oh what fun. But then! Hope and the SCD diet. I stayed on it for one year. Within the first 3 months I was off all medication and have not had any medication since. In June of 2008, I found it necessary to stay away from home in a dorm for several weeks and this is when I began to stray from the diet. As time went on, I strayed further and further until I was right back to the SAD diet. Recently I have felt a few rumblings in my belly that may be warning signs that I need to get back on track. So, I started the introductory diet on Monday, 7/19. It is going great except for one thing. I thought I had found the perfect yogurt in my grocery store. It is made by White Mountain company in Austin and has nothing in it except milk and probiotics. It is fermented for 24 hours. Here's the sad part: it has, amongst other probiotics, B. Bifidum. I am pretty sure this is not okay. Can you tell me how bad it is? Is it absolutely forbidden, or just " discouraged " ? I bought 4 jars before I realized the problem. Thanks a bunch. > Kay Lively >

Too many people with gut issues have reacted badly to it. Commercial yogurt is not SCD legal. I'm sorry. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
