Guest guest
Hi , I agree with you about the OS and the OD not commicating at all. The only time I heard my OD call my OS was at my appt the other day when I got my wires and hooks on. My OD wanted to make sure the wires were in the way the OS wanted them. This is the reason why I had to wait so long and it wouldn't have happened any sooner if I hadn't called the OS and made a consult appt to start the process. Insurance pre-approval took over 3 months and when it finally was approved,my OS got out of the network so they referred me to a new OS. I have been in braces for 29 months and that's way longer thatn what the OD had told me when I first started this... I know it's frustrating but we are almost there....I'm so glad we have the support group to listen and to give advise. At least we know what to expect and what to prepare ourselves for post surgery. It will be all worth it at the end.. 13 more days for us We're in this together. Kay > Hi all, > > Just got back from my OS appt. Of course I know the truth on that one from all > you post opers. Anyway, he informed me that he would call me if any > more measurements needed to be taken. When I talked to my OD yesterday he sounded positive that the > OS was going to tilt the jaw back and segment the upper jaw in 3 > pieces and bring the front four teeth over the bottom teeth along > with widening the back 2 segments of the upper jaw.
