Guest guest
Hi all, I'm coming up to the 3 month mark and i've had a bad week. Die-off symptoms, yeast flare-ups (getting sugar highs and stomach noises and upper stomach uncomfortable after eating bananas and pecan butter and sweetened applesauce) and the past couple days my acid reflux is just bad all the time, and gets worse as the days go on. Today was worse than yesterday. Everything I ate has come up in my throat a little, where I could taste it, with a lot of burping after meals. And there's that overall chest burning that got worse throughout the day. Going back through my food diary, I had noted heartburn symptoms consistently for the first month, but after that, there wasn't much. I'm wondering why this is coming back all the sudden? Is it bad bacteria wreaking havoc on my body? I think that I have a low-acid problem so i've been taking HCL pills. When I eat a meal with protein, the beginning of the meal i get an uncomfortable feeling in my stomach, but once i get things going, especially if i chew a lot, it goes away throughout the meal. I've been taking HCL pills, I was pretty sure they were helping, but now i'm concerned they were making it worse. And since i don't swallow the pill but mixed it with a drink, I stopped taking them since its really sensitive right now. Anybody have any ideas on heartburn going away and then coming back all the sudden? I have occasionally gotten heartburn after eating meat that i forgot to take the grease off, or occasionally with eggs, but recently it hasn't been bad, and is just a heavy feeling in my stomach with just a little heartburn. The really bad heartburn with eggs just happened in the beginning of the diet. But even now, I do best with eggs when they are in pancakes or baked in something. Any similar experience? Also, if someone has any ideas for dealing with heartburn, I would be much appreciative Ellen
Guest guest
I don't have any answers except I go thru periods of heartburn/indigestion as well. I'll have it for a week or so and then it will go away for a few weeks. Mine will actually hurt in my upper back as well and I've never figured out a reason?? It is uncomfortable! Guest guest
Try taking half a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water. It'll help with the heartburn and my former doctor who was a bit of an expert on yeast issues once told me it does something to create a more hostile environment for candida. I get heartburn when my yeast issues flare up; I'm not sure why, but my theory is that it has something to do with my body trying to fight it off and changing stomach acid levels to kill the bad bugs. fiona On Fri, Jul 9, 2010 at 11:30 PM, martinoellen@... wrote: > > > > Hi all, > > I'm coming up to the 3 month mark and i've had a bad week. Guest guest
Thanks, I don't really eat advanced foods. I have lots of chicken soup as it is. Also eat bananas, applesauce, apple cider, cranberry juice, avocados, tomato soup, green beans and zucchini sauteed in olive oil, zucchini-basil soup, asparagus soup, butternut squash, acorn squash, chicken and egg bread, unmarinated chicken, fish, canned tuna and salmon, chicken and turkey burgers. I have recently introduced red pepper into the tomato soup and wanted to try more stage 2 veggies soon. No ketchup or mayo cause it causes yeast issues. Tried pecan butter 2 or 3 times but not for a week or two due to yeast. Do stage 2 vegetables count as advanced food? I'll keep eating lots of chicken soup and not introduce anything for a while. Thanks.EllenTo: BTVC-SCD Sent: Sat, July 10, 2010 8:58:30 AMSubject: Re: heartburn!!! >> >> >> >> Hi all, >> >> I'm coming up to the 3 month mark and i've had a bad week. At least, that's what seems to happen if I try and do it four or five times a day in the mistaken belief that more must be better. fi
