Guest guest
I just got back from the ortho's office today (7wks post-op), and he decided to start me with elastics again to tweak my bite. I forgot how much these babies hurt!!! My poor teeth are so sore right now, I guess it's back to soft foods for me for a couple days. Also, there is a spot in my upper jaw where the nerves must be regenerating b/c when I brush with my electric toothbrush, I about jump out of my skin. (needless to say, that area is brushed with a manual one) Then when the ortho's assistant put my ligatures back on, it was horrible right there. Hopefully *that* doesn't last long! Guest guest
, I know what you mean about sore teeth. I'm almost 4 weeks post op and my OS sent me to OD today. OD put bands on different teeth and now they're sore, tooo. Looks like I'll be on them 24 hrs, except for cleaning teeth for the next 4 weeks, and maybe longer to tweak my bite, too. Of course, I'm still on a no-chew diet for 2 more weeks. Only eat soft foods I can suck in. > Also, there is a spot in my upper jaw where the nerves must be > regenerating b/c when I brush with my electric toothbrush, I about > jump out of my skin. I had the same problem today when they pushed on my lip/lower jaw today, Yikes. That was the worse pain I've had so far. They were taking off my lower surgical hooks (left upper) and putting O rings on lower brackets. Shirley
