Wel Molly,

I have been joking a lot about how much money I am saving on botox

because I am completely numb under my eyes. There is no chance of me

getting a bunch of wrinkles there. I'm not a derm. but I would say

just keep up with the moisturizer and lots of sleep. The surgery has

had no deleterious effects on the skin under my eyes. Take care.

Molly,

If anything it will decrease the wrinkles! I noticed that my eyes look

less droopy since the surgery and I've been getting a lot of comments

about looking younger (I'm 27).

Hi Molly,

I had upper and lower jaw moved forward on June 20th (plus a bunch of

other stuff!) and if anything, it improved the look of the skin around

my eyes.

I'm 41, and luckily have no wrinkles (yet!) I think I inherited that

bonus from my Mom, as she is in her 70's now and still has very few

wrinkles - believe it or not.

Before surgery though, I did get dark circles under my eyes and I am

now thinking that this was due to lack of sleep (due to the sleep

apnea issue that I had). The dark circles appear to be gone, so

hopefully it will stay that way. It should now that I don't have sleep

apnea anyway.

I agree with what the others wrote and think that if anything, having

the surgery will only improve the area around your eyes. At the very

least, I doubt it would worsen matters for you.
