Guest guest
My god you are so lucky what a difference, my son is 5 and I didn't know until he was 4 that he had bracycephaly and then it was only on the off chance that we went to a CO for something unrelated and he pointed it out. He looks like your daughter in the first picture and this will never change, it breaks my heart I am now on anti-depressants due to the guilt of not noticing, I cannot sleep or eat and have felt suicidal at times. When he was a baby, I mentioned that I thought he had a big head to the Health Professionals but they took no notice of me and just kept saying that babies heads are always different and changing, I would do anything to turn the clock back to be able to do what you are doing. > > Hello all, > > I have posted Maysa's reports from Orthomerica on her blog in one post and in the one below, I added one about how I feel. Guest guest
Hi Leila, I'm glad she's making such good progress. I would also try to get the brachy below 90% if you can. Sydney's was about 85 or 86 at graduation and I still see it (ugh). She has some weird angles too, but I probably wouldn't notice so much if I weren't now obsessed with head shapes. That is one of the downsides of being aware of plagio. -christine sydney, 3 yrs, starband grad > > Hello all, > > I have posted Maysa's reports from Orthomerica on her blog in one post and in the one below, I added one about how I feel. Guest guest
Wow Leila I think she looks great! And thanks for posting the scans. I have looked through so many pics to try to find a scan to compare with Zach's. Whatever you decide- you will get there. Zach is 15 months and he didn't get started until he was 10 months. I still believe he has gotten pretty good correction even though I was told not to expect as much as a younger baby. - our ortho wanted us to graduate but we said we wanted to go one more month only at night to see if we could get any more correction... Guest guest
Hi Leila- I think she looks really good but I also think it's a good idea to go for the second band, which I think you've already decided on. Why not, right? If nothing else, her head stays the same as it is now, but hopefully you'll get the last bit of correction that you need. She's still young enough to see great results with the second. Is CT willing to do it without a problem? I would suggest (if you haven't already) getting scanned for her 2nd one 2 weeks before she's scheduled to be done with her first, that way you can go from the first right into the second with no breaks. That's what we did and I highly recommend it (if a firm decision has been made to do a second one no matter what), if for no other reason than peace of mind that you're not missing a valuable growth spurt or something. Please continue to keep us updated. Good luck!
