Hi everyone,

I'm 18 days post op now, and trying to be pretty diligent about

getting enough fluids in everyday to heal properly. I've been

keeping a 'food' diary daily so I can keep an accurate measure of

what I'm eating (or rather drinking).

After 18 days, I have to say I'm starting to get sick of the limited

options...at least it feels limited to me right now. I'm getting

kinda sick of the sickeningly sweet stuff, like the fruit juice

drinks and Ensure and Boost; and on the flip side of that, I'm also

pretty sick of the salty stuff too....like the soups and broths,

etc. There's SO much salt in that stuff, and I'm really not used to

taking in THAT much salt.

There are a few things that I've found I like a lot. I love the low-

sodium V-8 tomato juice, I also love the fresh-frozen fruit and

yogurt smoothies, and natural unsweetened apple sauce which I add a

little unsweetened apple juice to make it easier to go down.

Anyone have some idea's for me? I simply cannot bring myself to do

any 'meat in a blender' type stuff. I'm not a huge meat-eater as it

is, and normally when I do eat meat it's chicken, turkey or fish.

I feel like I'm stuck with the too sweet or too salty options for

now.

Am I just being too fussy or have other people felt the same way as

me after almost 3 weeks of this liquid diet?

Thanks,

Judy
