Guest guest
My daughter Molly had to get a cranial band through Hanger back in March. We paid for the band upfront because we did not want to wait until the insurance company decided to make a decision. Good thing we did because by the time we finished the insurance company made their decision (Empire) Empire denied the claim saying that it wasn't medically necessary. We were given the opportunity for another appeal through them and then through the state. All said that it was for cosmetic reasons. Does anyone have any suggestions of what to do next? There doesn't seem to be anymore options and I truly feel that it should be covered. Molly had torticollis which caused the plagiocephaly. We had letters from her pediatrician, neurologist, cranial specialist, and physical therapist. Thanks for you help.
