Sorry I have not been on in a long time, school's rather tough this

quarter. Anyway, thought I'd post an update on Ron....since his

surgery was 2 months ago, he's already down 90 lbs!!! Dr. said that

he may be at goal by Christmas. He has completely stopped snoring

and got rid of his bipap machine after only the 2 week following

surgery. He actually has put the machine out of sight! He finally

is realizing what it means to be cold. He's building fires, wearing

sweat and sweatshirts, when he never used to. He had to buy some new

snowmobile gear for this winter and he was excited for that. Even

his helmet he hated because it was smothering him, fits him

perfectly. Now let the snow fly!!! Schooling is going great for

me. We're actually cooking things in the kitchen and I'm taking that

home and turning them into sugar/dairy free. I've made SF peanut

brittle!! YUM. Never got it hot enough so it turned out more like

chewy candy. I made fudge, but tasted more like cream cheese, but

I'm still working on that part. I found out that I love grits,

instant is salty, but add Splenda evens that out. I love Polenta

with marinara sauce as well as CousCous with homemade gravy. Ron's

hysterical every time I get home and have to go shopping to make what

we just made in class. Well, sorry this is long, but thought I'd

touch bases with everyone since I took a break from my studies. Now

it's protein and pills time as well as shower and build a fire (my

toes are freezing).....Tina
