Guest guest
IMO, not too late. My son has moderate flatness, very noticeable. I felt the same way, too. I was cursing my ped when she kept saying it was all going to work itself and it didn't. After months of hounding her she finally gave me the referral to CT for the Doc Band. We went in at 9 mos and had it on him the band at 10 mos. Even only after 2 wks, his head showed huge improvement. He's now been in it for about 1.5 months now and he looks great, the flatness is hardly noticeable. I've even seen pictures of other babies that have had it later and they've seen improvement - I think it all depends on the individual baby so please have hope! > > my peds really dropped thwe ball,,we started therapy for the tort after he was 6 mos and waited 2 mos to get a neuro appt, so here we are fighting for our insurance to use what we pay toward our deductible,,it is such a mess and i feel like it is too late now for him, his head is soo flat in the back...his face is fine..should i just put the band on now and stop waiting for the ins answers ( they dont cover it anyway) or is it too late for us..anyone see good results with there baby in the moderate catagory? please help..i am struggling with this ... >
Guest guest
I hope you'll decide to continue pushing for the band. You definitely don't want to leave his head if you feel it is " soo flat " . You should still see good improvement, and you'll know you did what you could. My daughter wore a starband from 5 to 10 mo old, and even at the end she got good improvement. I'm sure starting now you'll see results. Many parents end up banding at a year or more and it is still worthwhile. -christine sydney, 4 yrs, starband grad > > my peds really dropped thwe ball,,we started therapy for the tort after he was 6 mos and waited 2 mos to get a neuro appt, so here we are fighting for our insurance to use what we pay toward our deductible,,it is such a mess and i feel like it is too late now for him, his head is soo flat in the back...his face is fine..should i just put the band on now and stop waiting for the ins answers ( they dont cover it anyway) or is it too late for us..anyone see good results with there baby in the moderate catagory? please help..i am struggling with this ... >
