Guest guest
...... I'm sick and tired of feeling sick and tired and feeling sorry for myself for feeling sick and tired. O.k., got that? Now I need some serious butt kicking to get me back on track. I gained 13 pounds when the Dr. put me on Elavil for the fibromyalgia. I've come off that, and have decided to start fighting back. I have a bunch of questions, and am hoping I can get input..... any and all is appreciated. 1. I'm a proximal RNY. I had my surgery 2/12/02 and have never lost more than 70 pounds even though I did what I was suppose to. Oh, and I have recently learned there are a number of malpractice suits against my surgeon. Anyway, how many shakes a day do you recommend? And how many and like what for meals? 2. Vitamins. I've copied the vitamin schedule from the files. Is that what I need for a proximal? 3. Is it better to take an adult multi rather than a couple of children's? I really feel I need to get my immune system in tip-top order. I'm tired of just coming home, being in pain and going to bed. 4. I've had a horrible problem lately when I'm driving into work. I start to fall asleep at the wheel. It's right after I get up and I could just fall right back to sleep. Do any of you think that maybe having a shake before I go to bed might help to hold me. I don't eat in the morning, but I use ProCel and UpCal in my coffee. I know we aren't doctors, but any ideas really would be great on this one. 5. I just want you all to know that you have all been so wonderful to me with all the crap that has been going on in my life. I've decided to take the bull by the horns and take charge. I will change what I can and just deal with what I can't change and move on, but I could never have done it without you. I may not always post, but I ALWAYS lurk. Thanks to everyone in advance. Lots of love and hugs, Tigger
