BAY AREA CELIAC SUPPORT GROUP NEWS..January 2003

OAKLAND

There will be a special meeting on baking/eating gluten free on

Saturday,

February 1. Please bring a favorite commercial product, either

ready-to-eat or a mix, along with the product container so we can sample

a

variety of commercial products. Also come prepared with questions and

answers about baking/cooking gf , and we will share experiences. Be

prepared to sample some of the best ever pancakes, compliments of Joan

Wade

of Sylvan Border Farms. The meeting will be Sat. 2/1 from 10:30AM to

PALO ALTO

The first meeting of the newly formed Kids Celiac Support Group in Palo

Alto will be a gluten free brunch on Saturday, February 1, 10AM- 2 PM.

Meet at the home of Adi Autumn Katz (12 year old celiac), 2642 Ramona

Street, Palo Alto, for brunch, followed by games and movies. All ages

are

welcome. Parents are welcome to stay and talk parent talk. The brunch

is

potluck, so please bring a gluten free dish with the recipe/ingredients.

The Santa Cruz Celiac Support group will meet next on Saturday March 8

Gluten-Free Living is sponsoring a Celiac conference the weekend of

28-30 in San Diego at the Hilton Resort. Speakers include U of land
