Guest guest
My surgeon suggests Vitron C. It's an over-the-counter ferrous fumarate with added vitamin C. Because this is a pill and in a hard- to-open blister pack I looked for an alternative. I bought the TwinLab Iron Caps, a chelated ferrous fumarate product which comes in a small gelatin capsule. But something's out of whack with the dosing information. The Vitron C label says: Iron (ferrous fumarate) 200 mg 365% daily value The TwinLab label says: Iron (from ferrous fumarate) 18 mg 100% daily value If I wanted to take the TwinLab in an equivalent dose to the Vitron C, how many should I take? Going by the % daily value it would be 3 or 4; going by the mg it would be 11. Ray Hooks, Curran, anyone else, can you make sense of this? Guest guest
What is the elemental iron? It WAS 65mg in those. I cannot find them on the West Coast at all. When the iron thing changed in 1997, all the OTC iron vanished for a few months while they repackaged or re-dosed. And those never came back. That's what I started on, actually.
