Guest guest
Vitalady.. I was wondering when you said you drink 6 protein shakes per day is that in addition to eating 4 times??? Wow that seems like alot of calories but I know you have been very successful on this journey. Also I was wondering if there is such a thing as chewable calcium citrate?? I have looked high and low and only found chewable calcium carbonate. If you do carry such a thing, please advise as to how it tastes. I may want it anyway but would like to know what to expect. Thank You..you are truly a fountain of info and we all appreciate it. I was also wondering if all your knowledge is from a medical backround or is it from all your experience and ears of research?? Guest guest
Vicki, I aslo have an evil stepmother. I had an ammusing experience last week. I have lost 105 pounds since my surgery 4/26/02 and am now in a size 6/8. I have NEVER heard her say a word about my weight loss. She has never told me I look good or even acknowledge that I lost any weight. My dad comliments me everytime I see him and she remains silent. Well last week I had to call my stepmother as she was out of town visiting her children and my dad who is very ill took a turn for the worse...I spoke to her adult daughter and told her what was happening and to please let her mother know. Her daughter asked me how I was feeling after my weight loss and told me that she heard that I look amazing. Well after I hung up I thought about it and found it quite amusing hoe my stepmother was the only one who could have told her that since I don't really speak to her children and haven't seen them in years. Isn't it something that she would compliment me 'behind my bacvk' but never say a word to me... Oh well that the way it goes..it did give me a laugh for the day!!! Guest guest
> Vitalady.. > I was wondering when you said you drink 6 protein shakes per day is that in > addition to eating 4 times??? *********** yes, but a coupla things. I am very distal, so often do 8 shakes. Proteins are completely used by this body, no waste product there. My 4 meals are not exactly meals. And even when I DO eat a meal, it's still relatively small and what appeals to others doesn't appeal to me. Wow that seems like alot of calories but I know > you have been very successful on this journey. ********** well, I have my idosyncracies. But as time goes on, I surely learn valuable lessons. Fruit cannot be 3 of my 4 feedings. I cannot eat one Peep. Also I was wondering if there > is such a thing as chewable calcium citrate?? I have looked high and low and > only found chewable calcium carbonate. If you do carry such a thing, please > advise as to how it tastes. I may want it anyway but would like to know what > to expect. ******** I did, but it was so nasty, more were coming back than going out. LOL! > Thank You..you are truly a fountain of info and we all appreciate it. I was > also wondering if all your knowledge is from a medical backround ********** no, When I had my surgery, I didn't kow the difference between an intestine and blood vein or is it from > all your experience and ears of research?? ********* EARS of research is right. Been working with people since I was a rookie myself, 1994. I had good teaching as a baby postie, but a good grasp of explaining things. I had good access to my docs and such, so much info was given, much drug out (LOL), and the rest is working with so many, all types of surgeries. AND I am as avid a student as teacher, so the learning never ends. People of any kind are like packages to be opened. And each of US is a different package with a different thing to teach the others. Of course, cats are also packages. You just find out from them who is boss, who is slave. But I think we KNOW the outcome there. > Stacey > > >
