Hi Norma:

Your open bite looks very similar to mine. I am having a Lefort 3

piece on June 28th. In this procedure my OS will be bringing the

upper 4 front teeth forward and down over the lower bottom teeth and

widening the other 2 pieces of the jaw to align properly with the

lower jaw. To prepare for the surgery my OD has created 2 spaces

where the OS will be segmenting the jaw. Could it be that your OS is

going to put an expander in? This is what I was originally supposed

to do for my open bite which would of created space between the upper

front teeth as the expander was activated.

Anyway, welcome to the group and best of luck!

Hi ,

Do you have any pictures of your bite? Hmm it might be that too...but

I will find out on Tuesday. I am looking forward to it because I'm

tired of having a weird bite. But I will let you know once I find

out. I am glad I am not alone. :)

Thank you for your help and kindness,

Norma

Hi Norma:

I will have to work on those pictures for you. Your open bite is

almost identical to mine. Your teeth seemed to be lined up a little

bit better than mine, so maybe that is why your surgery is not going

to be that bad.

Keep me posted!
