Guest guest
Is Boursin Cheese legal? The only thing I can find online about it is that appears to be in one of the Food Lady's recipes for "potatoes" (cauliflower) Marla
Guest guest
Ok, I'm beat on this one. Wiki is no help. The boursin.com website isn't helpful either except the 'lite' cheese has whey protein which makes it illegal. One site did say to make a homemade boursin--use cream cheese and farmer's cheese mixed together with herbs. A few places 'fresh' was mentioned and it didn't say anywhere if it is aged. Hopefully someone else can say for sure. If you haven't bought it yet, I'd probably use Farmer's Cheese and mix the herbs, garlic or onion with it instead of the boursin. It 'looks' legal though. I just can't find out if it's fresh or aged. debbie 41 cd Is Boursin Cheese legal? Guest guest
Boursin is a soft cheese, and has a similar consistency to goat cheese. Since only the hard cheeses are legal, I would think it is not, but it would be good to know for sure. PJ > > Is Boursin Cheese legal? Guest guest
I LOVED Boursin. So much. SOOOO much. I was so upset when I could no longer have it. You know what makes a good substitute though? If you drip yogurt so you get a yogurt cheese and then grind up in a mortar and pestle a whole bunch of roasted garlic and salt until it's a paste then add it to the yogurt cheese. It's honestly the only way I'll eat yogurt b/c I hate the taste so much. You can also add other boursin ingredients to get it closer to the actual flavor (pepper, parsley etc...). It's a really good alternative. Stacey > > Is Boursin Cheese legal?
