I don't know about the dumping mechanism but it certainly resets the carb

monster (puts it at bay until I pick it up again.)

hi, my name is patsy and i live in las vegas. i have been lurking on

this board for a little while. just met with michelle on her visit

here and have decided to get more active on this site. one of the

things we talked about was the protein fast. since some of you are

starting today, i would love to join you. i need some more specifics

on what to do. in the past my protein supplement of choice was eas

prepared drink with 2-3 gms carbs and i think 15 gms protein. tasty

and easy but a little pricey at about $1.50 a can. i dont have any

facilities at work to blend up a shake either. anyway, what does

everyone recommend? i dont have a problem with milk but one poster

mentioned all the sugar in milk.

i had lap rny in feb of 2002. started at 256, dropped to 165 then

bounced back up to where i am now-175-180. i am maintaining this

without exercise or cutting carbs, and basically eat whatever i want.

this is not good enough for me. i want to lose more and now i am

committed to eating better and i know the carbs have to go.

goodbye carbs, i will miss you my dear comforting friend. you are

being replaced by my new friends on ossg.

thanks everyone.
