Ok....I have been here for about 4 months or so but, am now an official One

Year postie!

I had Lap RNY October 1, 2002. Surgery date weight of 257#

As of my one year appt, I am, according to docs scales, 127#.

Thrilled to be in a size 6/7 jeans and small/medium shirts. :o)

Next step....like most of you, plastics.

I do 2-3 protien shakes daily. My *meat of preference* is Pure Whey Stack

Chocolate or Pro Score 100 Chocolate. Vitalady taught me well!

I take sublingual B12 once daily, Multivite 2x, Calcium 2x, and an A C and E

with 2 Iron 1x daily.

I am FINALLY getting a copy of all my labs from my docs nurse Trish, who is

helping me to by-pass paying the clinic for them. She is wonderful!

Last Monday, I had a small lump removed from the middle of my tummy, which

hurt terribly. I had been having pain in the middle of my stomach for

months. Pretty much 2 mos after surgery on. Nothing showed when they did

scoping for ulcers. Could not find a hernia then either.

I awoke 4 weeks ago in such agony I was in tears. Rubbed my stomach

wondering *What the hey hurts so bad* and found a lump. Made an appt, went

in, blah blah blah. Doc did a procedure right in the office to remove the

lump, thinking it was a hernia. Ok....it was a VERY small one, but the main

problem was a lump of tissue which he discribed as hardened fatty tissue.

Sent it to lab for testing. It was benign YEAH!! Nothing to worry about.

Have not had pain since it has been removed either.

ANYWAYS!!! LOl I get carried away......I am 37, married with one daughter,

2 standard poodles and the wonderful hubby.

My family supported my choice for surgery from the day I thought about it.

ANd Kelvin (hubby) has been my biggest reminder of what I should and should

not eat etc.

They spoil me! And love how much energy I now have to do things with them. I

feel better than I have in so many years.

Looking forward to getting to know all of you!
