Guest guest
Charlotte My entire head was wrapped up like a mummy. I have posted my post op pictures, so you can take a look at the folder to see how I was wrapped. I got to take the wrap off on Friday afternoon. As far as pain, I really didn't have any. They gave me pain meds through my IV every 4 hours at the hospital, but there was never a point where I felt pain. Once I came home, I only took Motrin 800. My OS also prescribed Darvocet, but I was afraid to take it because I really wasn't eating anything. Fortunately, I really didn't need it. The Motrin was enough. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would say I maybe got to a 3, if that. It really was not that bad. As for weight, I have lost 21 pounds. I don't anticipate losing any more because I can slurp down mashed taters now. As I start to eat more normal food, I imagine that I will gain at least 5 to 10 pounds back. However, I was already watching what I eat and exercising to lose weight before I had the surgery. I just recently started exercising again, so that should help to keep me from gaining weight back. > > > Hi.
