Guest guest
I don't post much, but certainly get tons of info. from here. I have a question. I am about 13 months out and for the last month and a half, I have been craving salt. I asked my doctor about it at my one year appointment and he said I just must need some salt. Normally I don't add salt to many foods. I haven't been going overboard, so I'm not too worried, but I'm wondering if it's an early sign of any problems. My blood pressure was fine at my doctor's appointment, it was 110/67, so he said not to worry about it. Now, the last week or so, I've also been craving butter. My skin is really dry right now and so I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it. I've only been drinking protein shakes for the last 3 months and before that, I ate a lot of cheese, so I'm wondering if I need some fat in my diet. My doctor's protocol is protein only until you get to 75% excess off, so I try to stick with that, since I still need to lose another 30 pounds or so to be at 75%. My labs are all pretty good, so I was just wondering about these cravings. Does anyone have any ideas?
