JJ, The time release version cannot be taken in small bits but the regular can. That's why I asked. The reason the time release cannot be cut up or crushed is that too much medicine is absorbed at once. Did you take it on an empty stomach? You may want to try it with food. And I am sure that it freaked you out, it would me too. Can they put you on a different med that you can tolerate better?
