Guest guest
Okay, y'all, I've started juicing. Am on a very tight budget and trying to only use organic produce so am wanting to use every smidgeon that doesn't go into the compost heap. I've put the trimmings into chicken soup and know that when I next make my wonderful BTVC meatloaf it can go into that. Any other ideas on what to do with it? Many thanks!!! Guest guest
HI Carol, A gazillion years ago when I thought my hypoglyemic diet was a lot to get used to (little did I know!), I used to make carrot juice a lot, with or without other things in it. I sometimes used some of the carrot pulp as part of the flour in muffins and it worked OK, adjusting liquid/dry ratio if necessary. But these were flour muffins. I haven't tried it with almond or coconut flour. On the other hand, by the time the juicer gets through with the veggies, I'm not sure there's much left except the fiber, in which case maybe the compost heap is the best place for it.
