Guest guest
Hi, Why can't people resist the temptation to leave religion out of their posts? Save it for religious Yahoo groups. We all possess the power to heal ourselves and if religious beliefs help, then it's a wonderful thing, any positive thoughts are wonderful, but please keep it to yourself. The people here and information shared has a wealth beyond words and the moderator is a saint. It might just be that the "stuck up ones" are the educated few and they should be respected equally. I'd love to see this thread buried. I'm not an atheist but I'm sure if I posted a joke about Jesus all holy hell would break out. It might not hurt if a few of you read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Existence_of_God have a happy & and feel well Rick Subject: Re: TO ALL REGARDS ATHEIST JOKE...To: Neurosarcoidosis Date: Thursday, June 10, 2010, 10:22 PM Jesus must surely have had a good sense of humor. Guest guest
Rick, thanks for weighing in. Actually, my guess is that most of us would be fine with a Jesus joke. I have a favorite about walking on water. Sure, some would be offended, but the thing is, you have to be careful about using general categories. All "Christians" are not the same, any more than all "Muslims," "mechanics," or "Yankees." I get so frustrated when I read or hear about cruel & hurtful things people do in the name of Christianity. But I'm capable of cruel & hurtful things myself at times. We've dealt with the religious issue more times than I can remember over the years, and we've found that it is very difficult for most of us to separate our spirituality from our physical & emotional struggles. We've repeatedly stressed tolerance & respect for others. But being that we are imperfect beings in an imperfect world, it doesn't always happen that way. This thread will dwindle out, as all do, especially the less attention paid to it. Please continue to contribute your knowledge & experience to the group; we need everyone's input.
