What I'm wondering is whether

Lactoferrin is an SCD-legal product? It is a minor protein found in milk

products, and it seems to survive pasteurization, so....yes?

Nina,

The research does took interesting -- there are several additional

studies involving it.

Since it's a protein, not a sugar or a starch, I would cautiously say,

yes, it is. We do, after all, recommend getting iron through red

meat proteins, like liver (bleh). It's a fact that the mineral forms of

iron supplementation can be dreadfully rough on the gut, but it is

equally a fact that so many IBDers have issues with anemia.
