Guest guest
This refreshing snack is easy to make. You can make other legal fruit juice with fruit combos as well. This may be considered advanced because of the fresh, raw cherries. Cherry jello with Fresh Cherries For those of you who have access to Knudsen’s Just Black Cherry Juice (not the tart cherry as it is from concentrate): In a medium glass bowl Chill 1 cup of Knudsen’s Just Black Cherry (or other legal) Juice. Once cold, sprinkle 3 -4 packets of (Knox) gelatin (I use 3 packets/4 cups liquid and it’s firm enough for me) over the cold cup of juice to dissolve. Heat to boiling 2 ½ cups Just Black Cherry (or other legal) Juice plus ½ cup water to equal 3 cups. (This can be diluted more) Pour boiling juice into cold bowl of juice & gelatin and stir to mix. I stir it for about 5 minutes, off & on to completely dissolve the gelatin. Let jello cool. Wash & pit about 2 cups fresh cherries (or other fruit) When bowl of Cherry jello is cool, halve cherries into the bowl. They will float on top and look especially nice all oriented with their rounded side up. Place in fridge to set up. And for a bigger treat, serve Cherry jello with dripped, whipped, sweetened yogurt (add some vanilla). Yum! Yum! Yep! I've done this... although I don't dare make as much as you do, 'cause I'd eat all of it! I have a terrible time disciplining myself when it comes to fresh cherries! — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
Guest guest
For those of you who have access to Knudsen’s Just Black Cherry Juice (not the tart cherry as it is from concentrate):I thought their whole "Just Juice" line was legal, no matter if it was from concentrate? I don't recall pecanbread specifying that. Other concentrates are not legal. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
