if it was ur gall bladder your right side would be hurting. the same

thing happened to me with stabbing pains behind my ribs on my right

side. they took my gall bladder out and its cool now but if you are

having pains in your left side in the back that is ur kidney

I had my gall bladder taken out just after I had my first child. The

pain that I was having was dead center of my chest which would go

through to my back between my shoulder blades. The only relief that

I could get was to place my hands together and put them on top of my

head and then to throw up. That was fun. I did not have any pains

on the sides. I had an emergancy apendectomy (sorrry for the

spelling) at 10:30 pm the week after I was told that I had a bad

kidney infection. I had severe pain in my right side and kidney area

on my back.
