Guest guest
Last night I used 4oz. as 1/4 c. *wrong*. Should have used 1/2 c. for 4 oz. I found this handy little refrigerator magnet with the conversions on it at a local grocery store. One for liquids and one for dry. Very inexpensive if you find them locally. According to this link http://whatscookingamerica.net/Q-A/equiv.htm 6 oz. would be 3/4c. I would wait for the recipe creator first though. Debbie 41 cd I was just gonna make this cocoa butter cake recipe, but the measurements for cocoa butter and almond flour are in oz. Is this weight oz, or going by the oz on the side of your measuring cup? (I guess that would be fluid oz?) Anyways, I found an online converter that says 6 oz of ground almonds is 2 cups, but if I went by 8 oz = 1 cup then it would need less than one cup of almonds. Sorry if this is stupid, I just don't want to mess up!Thanks!Cheers!Alyssa 16 yo UC April 2008, dx Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)Azathioprine 75 mg 1x per dayPrednisone 22.5 mg 1x per day

It all depends on whether you're using FLUID ounces or MASS ounces. In fluid ounces, a cup is eight fluid ounces. What can be confusing, though, is that 4 fluid ounces is half a cup, but 4 tablespoons is a quarter-cup. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
Guest guest
It all depends on whether you're using FLUID ounces or MASS ounces.RIght. I'm just not sure which this person is using! I'm hoping Mara will read this, since she recommended the recipe =) It's the one at this link: http://milkforthemorningcake.blogspot.com/2008/08/comforting-cocoa-butter-cupcakes-dairy.htmlI'm guessing mass oz, because it's not measuring fluid stuff, but I just want to make absolutely sure! Don't want to waste my precious cocoa butter or almond flour =) Cheers!Alyssa 16 yo UC April 2008, dx Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)Azathioprine 75 mg 1x per dayPrednisone 22.5 mg 1x per day
