newly diagnosed--please help

My 6 month old son was just diagnosed with plagiocephaly. He has asymmetry of

his head and some on his face (although very mild). Our pediatrician sent us to

Cranial Technologies who evaluated him and recommended a Doc Band. My question

is how does one decide which kind of helmet is the best, or which company to use

for the treatment. I am also wondering if people were followed by doctors who

are specialists, and if so, who--(in Los Angeles.) Lastly, can anyone tell me

if there are any risks or negatives to the helmet (is it always effective
