Guest guest
Don't count on it. Most of them have NO idea what works for post-ops. Generally, all their expertise is in the area of " normies. " Anything she tells you, make sure you query her whether the recommendation is based on knowledge of what works for us, how and where we absorb what, etc. Even dieticians (different from nutritionists in some cases) usually don't know anything about our special needs. The one my surgeon uses was telling everyone to take Tums to get their calcium. Duh. And I went thru hell trying to get in enuf protein in the early days. I was on the phone to her constantly. She finally quit taking my calls bcuz she just didn't have any answers. Apparently, she never even heard of a protein shake. More duh.
