Guest guest
Rach, I'm sorry that you were misled. The Internet is a wonderful source of information, but it's not always easy to sift through & evaluate everything you encounter. Did you feel that someone on this list gave you incorrect information? If so, feel free to email me privately regarding any concerns you've had about information given here. One thing we stress periodically is that we are not doctors (well, except Mitch!), although we have acquired a lot of information & experience. Everyone reacts to illness differently, just as we all respond to treatments differently. We all have to decide at every step of our personal journey what is the right thing for us, at that time. What seems right at one point may not be at another. Tracie has spent the past few months concentrating on nutrition & supplements, which seems to be working for her at this time. In the past she has taken a variety of drugs & combinations of drugs, based on the information she had then. There are a number of theories regarding the cause of sarc & approaches to treatment, ranging from low-tech (eat organic, try to limit/reduce your body's exposure to chemicals) to high-tech (Remicade & other big guns). As individuals we need to decide for ourselves what approach to take. Truthfully, I think that Tracie is on the right track, but right now I just don't have the motivation or discipline to do it, at least not full throttle. I'm taking baby steps, with a lot of backsliding. I still think there is a place for drugs in the battle against the sarc monster, but I suspect many of us would benefit from improving our nutrition & other lifestyle choices. Guest guest
Rach, If I said anything to upset you, I'm sorry, and I hope you would let me know so I don't do it again. Sometimes I know we " go off " on something, when really we shouldn't, and I know I do that sometimes, so I you'll forgive me if I did. MarlaJust one day at a time, That's all God ask of us. for there never really is a tomorrow, as that too is just today:) I have been away from 'online support' for a little while, after being taken the wrong way by someone. So if I'm a little quiet, that is why.
