Guest guest
One small pitch, ... and all others, If you wind up with extra Boost or Ensure that you don't need or want: They will be welcome, in my experience, in either an area oncology (cancer) care center, or in a place that serves AIDS patients, the latter generally being the more needy of the two. (The docs usually get free samples or coupons; the AIDS folks often don't.) Maybe there are others, as well, or maybe your surgeon would welcome them to give to other patients. They are good nutrition for folks who are in miseries with inability to chew and swallow stiffer stuff, and it would be a sin and a shame to let them go to waste. Some folks who need them cannot afford to buy them. And I definitely agree -- try 'em out before you invest. Your tastes may also be altered by surgery, so go slow, rather than stocking up, at least if you have family and friends who can help with errands, post-op. You also may find that you have fewer restrictions than you expect, or that yogurt and milkshakes, perhaps augmented with protein powder, serve you better.
