Guest guest
I thought it might be good to start a thread on cool tools. What have you found most helpful during this whole process? Besides this site, of course. Mine are: -the massage-ball thingie from Bath and Body Works' True Blue Spa line. Awesome for facial massages without straining your hands and wrists. -my Braun handheld blender. After someone on here said they loved theirs, I picked it up at Costco for $25. It is so much easier than the full-on blender or food processor. Tonight I whirled up some takeout curry, then some fresh plums for dessert. -my Sonicare. It's a little hard to get used to at first (like a jackhammer in your mouth!), but once you do, it provides a clean feel unlike any toothbrush. With the splint now, I am finding that extra bit of cleaning power very helpful. -TwinLabs VegeFuel soy protein powder. This is the only soy protein powder I've found that is truly unflavored. (Most have some kind of vanilla flavor that just won't work in soups and other savories.) I ordered it off Drugstore.com. Anyone else? Guest guest
Not really cool but useful was my measuring spoon for when I needed to take the dreaded liquid antibiotic. It's like a hollow plastic spoon that you fill up with the medicine. On one side of the spoon is a measure so that you can make sure you're taking the right amount. No point in overdosing on the horrible tasting stuff! Also my Oster blender was the coolest of tools during meal times! Frozen bag of peas made a great ice pack. > I thought it might be good to start a thread on cool tools. What have > you found most helpful during this whole process? Besides this site, > of course.
